The Dancing Hall of Dunhuang

The theatrical performance of the "Summer in Dun Huang" is a full-length activity of performing arts of song and dance prepared by the Dun Huang city for tourists. It has the cultural specialties of the Silk Road in strong colors, which reflect the multi -national song and dance art of Hui, Tibet, Uygur and Mongol nationalities etc. in the north east region and reproduce the dancing postures and movements, costumes and music of the different nationalities of the Silk Road.

The Dun Huang Ancient Music

Thanks to the special geographical location, Dun Huang harmonized the song and dance arts of the east and west in the ancient time, creating a unique Dun Huang folk musical composition. The Dun Huang Ancient Music was the musical composition of the Later Tang Dynasty (A. D. 933) in Dun Huang which was finally decoded by the learned scholar of the Dun Huang Study, Mr. Xi Zhenguan of the Gansu province after many years' investigation and research, thus making the famous "The Tang Dynasty Music" come back to life on whole.

Mingsha Moutain: Tourists can play gliding parachute, towed gilding parachute, hot balloon and hire ski board for sliding on sand, take sand bath or roam around sand hills on camel back.
