Bars on Shanghai Lu (road)
There are numerous western style and good ones around the Universities near Shanghai Lu.  

Nandar: (Nanjing University) Halls of residence: a good place to kick the evening off.

Jack's: a popular meeting place where great sweet & sour chicken and beer are offered.  The music however leaves a lot to be desired.

Blowing in the Wind: A comfortable place and at weekends the city's best music talent can be found here.  Guest bands are invited on stage to perform. 

Scarlet Bar
It is situated on Zhongshan Bei Lu and is one of the three popular late nightspots.  It is a place the city's foreign populations tend to end up at the end of the night.  This bar/club is always bursting with people of all ages and the music is generally good-reggae style with a bit of everything else thrown in for good measure.

Tequilla Bar
It is located at Shengzhou Lu. 

Island Bar (a.k.a. Island Bob's)
It's growing in popularity and the music in here is very enjoyable.

The Fuzi Miao Area
There are numerous arcades, bowling alleys, pool halls and cinemas around here and this is a lively area especially in the evenings.

Jack's Two
It is opposite the Nanshida gate on Ninghai Lu.

Nanjing 1912
Like the Xin Tian Di in Shanghai, it is a place where the youth could have a vibrant nightlife.  It features all kinds of bars, pubs, discos, and teahouses.

Hunan Lu
It is a night shopping street to satisfy your palate with all sorts of delicious food.  The night scene of the street is very beautiful.

Fuzimiao Dining Street
It is a night street for gourmands and a popular night entertaining venue.  Its riverside area near Confucius Temple dotted with numerous snack shops, restaurants housed in traditional Chinese buildings.
