Qixiandiao
The Qixiandiao (lacquer filament carving) is the handicraft article having the longest history. Since the prosperous rising of paintings and moldings of the Tang Dynasty, the lacquer filament carving was applied for the decoration of Buddha statue. As early as hundreds years ago Xiamen Qixiandiao was renowned at home and abroad, being a rest seller to different countries in Southeast Asia.

Using the delicate filament of lacquer. The molding method of the Qixiandiao is very unique, i. e. to bind up beautiful structures, lifelike figures and personal adornment and designs. Especially it takes traditional subject matters, such as dragon, phoenix, (Chinese) unicorn, cloud, water and lotus at most.

Pearl Embroidery
The Xiamen Pearl Embroidery has unique decoration skill and art style which is renowned for its hovel style, magnificence and brightness with a history of more than one hundred years.

Crunchy Peanut-cake
The crunchy peanut-cake is a famous Chinese cake. While eating, you should open the wrapping paper carefully and out the cake lightly into your mouth. It melts once inside the mouth, tasting slightly sweet but not greasy, delicacy selling at home and abroad afar.

Longan
Xiamen longan is famous for its big size, thin husk, thick flesh, rich juice and light sweetness.

Lancelet
The lancelet is the famous and precious specialty of Xiamen whose popular name is crocodile worm. The Xiamen lancelet is small in sizes, only 3-4 cm, semi-transparent with both head and tail being sharp. It is the high-class edible protein whose content is 70% and moreover it contains different kinds of inorganic salts and iodine. The flesh is tender and fresh which makes one's mouth water. The dry ones can be kept for 1-2 years.
