Procedure
Xi'an, known as Chang'an in ancient times, is a famous city with a
time-honored culture. As a city, it has a history of more than 3,000 years.
Beginning from the 11th century B.C, it served intermittently as the capital
of 11 dynasties, including the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties, for altogether 1,000 years,
longer than any ancient capitals in China. A metropolitan as famous
as Rome, Xi'an used to be China's
political, economic and culture center and the starting point of the "Silk Road".
