The Tujia Nationality mainly lives in compact communities in Hunan and Hubei provinces and is also distributed in Sichuan and Guizhou provinces. Its population is of 5.704 million. The Tujia Nationality calls itself "Bi Zi Ka". The origin of the Tujia Nationality has different versions, one of which considers it being from "Wu Man" in the middle of the Tang Dynasty. The Tujia Nationality has its own language which belongs to Chinese-Tibetan language family. It does not have national writing. The Tujia Nationality mainly goes in for agriculture. The products mainly include paddy, maize, potato and wheat etc. The Tujia Nationality women are at weaving and embroidery art.
