The Wa Nationality mainly lives in compact communities in Yunnan Province. Its population is 0.351 million. The Wa Nationality calls itself "A Wa", "Lei Wa", "Wa", "Ba Rao", "Bu Rao" etc. The ancestors of Wa Nationality were "Pu People" in the Han Dynasty. The Wa Nationality has its own language which belongs to south Asian language family. The Wa Nationality mainly goes in for agriculture. Its products are upland rice, paddy and maize etc. |
