Kaifeng known as "the Capitals of Seven Dynasties", is located at the eastern part of Henan Province With a total area of 6,444 square kilometers and a population of 4.5 million. The annual average temperature is 14.24- 14.5oC and frost-free period is 213-215 days, annual rainfall 670mm. Kaifeng is a famous city with its long history, splendid traditional culture, a great number of cultural relics and historic sites.
Kaifeng City is rich in Mineral Resources, Water Resources, Power Supply. Kaifeng City has a great variety of industrial and a strong industrial foundation. The main industries sectors are light industry, textile, pharmacy, foodstuff, cigarette, electric power, machinery, electronics, chemicals, and construction materials etc. with the light industry, foodstuff, machinery, electronics, chemical industries and pharmacy as pillar industry.
Kaifeng has plentiful tourist resources. There are 22 cultural relics that are listed as the state or provincial level protection units. So the State Administration of Tourism has listed Kaifeng as a key tourist city of central China. Many historical tourist spots like Dragon Pavilion, lron Pagoda, Xianguo Temple which was originally built in the Southern and Northern dynasty period (420-589), Pota Pagoda, Yanqin Taoist Temple, Shanshaangan Guild Hall and King Yu Terrace etc.
