HK - Lin Village
The Lam Tsuen (Lin Village) which has a history of more than 200 years, is located at Tai Po. In the village, there is an ancient temple - the Tin Hau Temple (the queen of Heaven and Protectress of Seafarers) and inside the temple, an ancient bell is instored, on which "Cast in the 36th year of Qian Long's Reign" is inscribed. There stand two big banyan trees at the gate. Viewed from afar the whole trees appear to be crimson in colour.

In fact it is created by the red ribbons representing the wishes of the Buddhist devotees hanging from the trees. The obeisance is rather unique. They put down their wishes on a piece of red ribbon fastened with a small stone and threw it with force so that it could be hanged on the branches, that shows that your wish would soon come true. The higher the ribbon is hanged, the quicker your dream would be realized.
