Mt. Wu-Tai
  Mt.Wu-Tai is a world famous Buddhism holy land. It's situated in the northeast of Wu-Tai county, Xin-Zhou disrict, ShanXi province, and hidden in lofty ridges and towering mountains. It covers 230 kilometers from Tai Yuan to Huai-Tai Zhen. It has very beautiful and captivating scenery. There, you will have a view of the extraordinary and strategically mountain peaks, straight old-age pines and cypresses, floating cloud and mist, splendid temples and buildings in green and gold. All of these and its pleasantly cool air make Mt.Wu-Tai a wonderful world for people to visit, to escape the heat and spend a holiday. Beside, you will find a few rivers go across and round Mt.Wu-Tai, they make the scenery more beautiful and charming.

In Mt.Wu-Tai, there is a forest of temples, rows by rows. Since the northern and Southern Dynasty, a great deal of temples in Mt.Wu-Tai had been built one after anther in more than one thousand years. Among the over 40 remained temples, there are 10 in Tai-Hua Zhen. Tai Huai Zhen, is 10 kilometers away from each flat, where is the center for people to reach the mountains to worship Buddha, but also the center of entertainment for travelers.

Na-Chan Temple

By historical record, the temples with fine and simple looking, was built in Tang Dynasty (282).

The Buddha Statue inside the temple is the oldest Tang Dynasty wooden architecture remained by our country. It is taken as national treasure.

The statues in this temple are in excellent state of preservation. They all are treasures of Tang Dynasty.

Fo-Guang Temple

This temple built in the Northern Wei Dynasty was designed in the shape of the mountain.

The clay sculptures and the murals inside the temple have been preserved intact. The statue of Sakyamyni stands in the middle, Maitrega on the left, Aamitoufo on the right, and they all show the style of Tang.

On the left of Buddha, there is a two-stories brick tower with six angles. Its peculiar style is the authentic proof of the communication of China and India.

Xian-Tong Temple:

This temple was built in the Eastern-Han Dynasty. It is the largest in scope and longest in history among all temples in Mt.Wu-tai area. It is also the oldest temple of China as well as Bai-Ma temple in Luoyang City. This is the origin of the Chinese Buddhist .

Xian-Tong Temple covers an area over 72 mu, where there are 400 halls and rooms. Seven temples stand on the line of axis. Of them all, eastern and western wings are symmetrical.

In order to meet the needs of visitors, many world-class standard hotels have been built, restaurants and shops have been run in Tai-Huai Zhen. If you want to get there, the highway and railway are very convenient.
