At the west slope of the main ridge is the Pillow Hill. There stands the majestic towering Daxian Temple (Great Immortal) looking splendid in green and gold. It is one of Tainan's Buddhist cultural centers in which stands the Precious Hall of the Great Hero as its Dominant core. At its back, there are Hall of Avalokitesvara (Goddess of Mercy), the Triratna Hall and Ksitigarbha Hall. They are flanked by the Peace and Longevity Hall, Hall of Prolongation of Longevity and abides of the monks and guest rooms for visitors and other buildings. The structures of the temple are well-balanced and imposing. At the back of the temple there grow the slender bamboo with dark green verdant leaves and the old sassafras and huan trees, among the hills dotted with stone stools and tables tastefully displayed and secluded free from vulgarity. Besides, there are such scenic sites as the Cool and Refreshing Cave and the Pavilion for Enjoying Distant View. In the temple, you will find a Japanese Amitabha and an Indian white jade Buddha. Outside the hill gate, erects the multi-colour Buddhist Pagoda of Repaying Gratitude. The whole layout of the temple is so well knit that there is no comparison both in the scope of ancient land area and in the grandeur and magnificence of temples throughout the whole Taiwan Province.

At the foot of the Pillow Hill on the eastern side, appears a natural extraordinary sight rarely seen in the world - water and fire originate from the same source. It is a hot spring spurting out of the rocks at the hill foot. It forms a pool of crystal clear water with bubbles gushing incessantly from the bottom of the pool, thus giving rise to strong flames several meters in height. Since 1701 when the eminent monk Master Canche discovered it, sweet spring water has been flowing ceaselessly and the strong flames, burning inextinguishable over 290 years. Anything put into the fire spurting from the water can be burned instantly but without smoke and bad smell. The pool water rolling waves upon waves looks as if it were boiling. It tastes cool and sweet. "Water and fire can never get along with each other" as the saying goes. But here the water and fire coexist and prosper, countenance and help each other. It is universally acclaimed as the acme of perfection.

Guanzi Hill scenic spot is also very famous for its hot spring, which is very valuable for medical treatment. Besides the surrounding beautiful scenery is extremely luring. The Autumnal Red Leave Park is located on top of the hill. In late autumn, it is brilliant red all over the hills and valleys. No wonder a continuous stream of visitors comes here to bathe and enjoy the picturesque scenery all the year round.
