There is a small ancient town, 30km away from Nanning. It has a history of 700 years. Yangmei ancient town is located at downstream part of Yangtze River and surrounded by the River in three sides, so that the transformation is very convenient. In the Qing Dynasty, it was a very flourishing place and the distributing center for commodities. The old buildings here, such as the Kuiqxinglou, the Qing Dynasty Street, the building group built in the Qing or Ming Dynasties and so on, are preserved in good condition. Of which, the Qing Dynasty Street is the most perfectly being preserved. Its style of buildings is almost kept the same as it in the Qing Dynasty. Dragons and phoenixes were carved on the ridges or eaves of houses. On the walls of Zhengwu (right middle room), there are some ink drawings one after one, which are Kylins, (Chinese unicorn), charactersCwaters and mounts etc. The Street paved with stone bats becomes the natural scene for film. Some views in films of Shidakai, Cuckoo and Three Meetings for Marry were found here.
