Known as "The Roof of the World", Tibet has spectacular and fascinating snow-capped Peaks, glaciers, high mountains, wide rivers, unique highland lakes, geothermal springs, vast pastoral areas, magnificent monasteries, brilliant religious arts and interesting ethnic customs.

Itinerary: Lhasa/Yamdrok Lake/Shigatse/Gyangtse/ Shigatse/Lhasa

Duration: 5 nights and 6 days

Tour Schedule:

Day 1 Arrival Lhasa                    

Upon arrival in Gongar Airport, the highest airport in the world, you will be met and drive 100KM to the city of Lhasa, capital of Tibet. The rest of the day is free to have a good rest and ready to explore the roof of the world.

Day 2: Lhasa   (Meal: B/L/D)

Full day guided tour of Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century, symbolises Tibetan Buddhism and its central role in the traditional administration in Tibet. Then onto Jokhang Temple, which is an exceptional Buddhist religious complex. It is the spiritual centre of Tibet. The temple is a combination of Han, Tibetan and Nepalese architectural techniques. And Barkhor Street, which is an old and traditional shopping street in the centre of Lhasa. It is also a place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a place to which a visit must be paid.

Day 3: Lhasa   (Meal: B/L/D)

Today you will visit Sera Monastery, one of the three largest monasteries in Tibet, enshrined in the monastery are over 10,000 golden copper Buddhist statues, the holy prayer scripture written in cinnabar, and other treasures. Then onto Tibet Museum, the largest cultural facility in this ethnic autonomous region with a huge collection of art treasures. Later in the afternoon, you will visit to Norbu Lingka, the summer palace for Dalai Lama.

Day 4: Lhasa / Yamdrok Lake / Shigatse  ( Meal: B/L/D)

Today you will drive 380Km from Lhasa via the beautiful turquoise Yamdrok Lake to Shigatse, please enjoy the beautiful scenery on the way. You will stay at Shigatse.

Day 5: Shigatse / Gyangtse / Shigatse (Meal: B/L/D)

Drive 90 KM to Gyangtse. You will visit Kunbum Stupa & Pelkor Chode Monastery. In the afternoon take tour to The Tashilunpo Monastery, residence of Panchan Lamas.

Day 6: Shigatse / Lhasa (Meal: B)

Transfer to Lhasa airport for your flight exit.

Overseas visitors going to Tibet have to apply for entry permit two weeks in advance.

You are required to fax to our office a photo copy of your passport, details of your home address and your occupation after your tour reservation is confirmed.
