Itinerary Tsing Ma Gigantic Bridge The Tsing Ma Bridge stretching from Tsing Yi Isle to Ma Wan (Bay), 22,000 meters long, is the longest suspension bridge for both vehicle and railway purposes in the world. It was open to traffic in 1997, linking Landau Island and the urban districts. Cheung Sha Beach After Tung Chung, a new town close to Hong Kong international airport, we will drive through mountainous scenery of winding roads to Cheung Sha sandy beach, where you will find the waters kissing white sand stretches all it way across the coast, forming a lovely picture. Po Lin Monastery Continue the tour to Po Lin Monastery. The Great Bronze Buddha Statue is just adjacent to the monastery and perched on the Ngong Ping Plateau. Tourists are given the chance of entering into the museum where Sarira, or Buddhist relics are revered. Chinese-style vegetarian lunch will be served in the monastery. Tai O Fishing Village Back on the roads after the lunch, we will head for Tai O Village, the still-home settlement. You can buy local made dried seafood, fresk fish, Chinese herbs and vegetables, and fresh fruit. The return trip on the ferry is relaxing.
